He currently serves as the Rector of the Scientific Institute of Higher Education and is the founder and president of both the International Association of Leaders of Higher Education and the Bolivian Scientific Community of Phlebology and Lymphology. As the director of Arias Medical Clinic, he oversees operations across multiple branches in Bolivia and Mexico, combining clinical practice with the leadership of diverse academic programs ranging from health sciences to engineering and law. A pioneer in his field, Dr. Arias Villarroel has been honored with the “Cóndor de los Andes” Award for Excellence and recognized by the Bolivian Chamber of Deputies for his medical contributions. He is a prolific international speaker and researcher, known for his innovative work on venous ulcer treatments involving microcurrents and in-situ tissue culture. His research has been published globally in five languages, and he continues to influence the medical community by training physicians worldwide and co-authoring international consensus documents on vascular health.
